About Andrew Franklin

Andrew Franklin uses natural explorative techniques  as part of his art practice to portray the human's disposition in the the essence of a fleeting moment.

Andrew is drawn to an instance. A short amount of time that, perhaps, an entire life has been born and died. The work seeks to suspend that moment and time to further investigate its potentially limitless possibilities. As a result, the work becomes transportative and seemingly tries to exist in real time as an object or a performance. The solace of nature is the fuel of Andrew's work. The deep consideration for the solitary nature of organic materials is exhibited in Andrew's use of wood, clay, paint, and movement. The work is a reflection of the worlds impression upon the mind and the uncompromising truths that surround it. Vivid color and abstract thought often find their way into Andrew's interpretation of the present.
